Born an American; Born a Christian

I was having a conversation with someone today and we were talking about people that struggle, for whatever reason, with always wondering if they are saved.  It got me thinking about something that my husband has mentioned many times through the years...  "I was born an American citizen!  When I wake up in the morning, I don't have to ask myself...  Am I an American Citizen?" ------  I am ONE!  I was born one!  I am free to enjoy ALL the benefits of being an American Citizen.   I LIVE here!   I don't have to think about it... worry about it... I just EXPERIENCE it everyday.

When I was born-again, I became a citizen of the Kingdom of God!  When I wake up in the morning, I don't have to ask myself...  Am I a Christian?  I AM ONE!!!  I was born one!!   The question could be....  Am I choosing to enjoy ALL the benefits of my citizenship?  Am I living like I know that I am one?!   Am I walking in the Kingdom?  Am I talking "The Kingdom"? ...or am I just still sitting at the entrance, pacing around in the "foyer", "wandering,"... "wondering"...

If you have been BORN AGAIN into the Kingdom, you need to quit worry about if you're "saved" ---Jesus died to SAVE us from our sins...  It's already done!  But now we must live the lifestyle of a Child of God ... walking in His Kingdom... living IN His Kingdom.  You don't live "Kingdom Lifestyle" to BE saved... You live it because you ARE saved!

I was born an American Citizen and I was born-again a Citizen of His Kingdom.  Therefore... I AM ONE!

I don't know if I'm ready for this yet.....

Today was one of those "milestone" days in my son, Logan's life....   HE GOT HIS DRIVER'S LICENSE!   It doesn't seem right...  wasn't it just yesterday that he was driving (while reading a book no less!!) that little red and yellow "car" around our backyard?

But as you can see from the following photos....  IT WAS INEVITABLE!  These things must come....  (said with a slight, teary-eyed smile on my face)

We're proud of you Logan!
